Steps taken towards future cooperation during Changwon National University Visit
The Korean delegation from Changwon National University and Changwon Special City visited the Netherlands during 15-17 of July, aiming to secure its official designation to achieve a Glocal University Program funding from the Korean Government.
During their visit to the Netherlands, President Min Won Park of Changwon National University has been actively pursuing collaborative efforts in advanced defense industries. On July 15, he discussed the establishment of a joint research institute with the Royal Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR). Following this, on July 16, he visited the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), Netherlands Industries for Defence and Security (NIDV), and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, House of the Province Noord Brabant, University of Applied Sciences Fontys to explore various cooperation opportunities.
Accompanying the delegation, Deputy Mayor Myoung Rae Cho of Changwon Special City participated in discussions to support city government collaboration and cooperation strategies. He accompanied the delegation throughout the entire itinerary, including the visit to the Province of Noord Brabant.
President Park emphasized, "By fostering mutual exchange and joint research between TNO researchers, Changwon National University research teams, and Changwon defense companies, we aim to realize practical international collaboration and develop cutting-edge technologies in the advanced defense industry."

South Korea Roadshow Trade Mission
From April 17th-19th The Netherlands-South Korea Defense Industry Roadshow Trade Mission took place in Gyeongsangnamdo.
The roadshow was jointly organised by Gyeongnam TP, the Dutch Embassy in Korea, and the Netherlands Industries for Defence & Security (NIDV) with the support of Gyeongnam Province, to promote defence technology cooperation between Gyeongnam defence companies and Dutch companies.
On the Dutch side, the Aerospace Research Institute (NLR), the Applied Science Institute (TNO) and defence companies Al Armaments, Hull Vane B.V., The IP Company and Vonk participated in the trade mission.
During the event, the participants gave a presentation to introduce their companies and highlight their strengths and what they could offer to Korean partners. The Dutch delegation also visited defence-related companies in the South Gyeongsang Province such as Hyundai Rotem, Hanwha Aerospace, KAI, Human Heavy Industries, Kencoa Aerospace, Su Optics, Kyeongin Tech and i-Spec.
All in all, this trade mission was a great example of a partnership that is not just about business growth but also contributing to global cooperation and security.

November 29-30 2023: NEDS 2023 in Rotterdam
The NIDV looks back on a succesful exhibition with 150+ exhibiting companies, 3500+ visitors, and 36 international delegations including a South Korean delegation of government and industry representatives.
ADEX 2023
The NIDV organised a NL Pavilion in cooperation with the Dutch Enterprises Agency (RVO) and Korean Embassy and took part in ADEX 2023 with eight partner companies. Activities ranged from exploring the exhibition, presenting the partners' products and services, and meeting with industry leaders and key decision makers.
In addition, the NIDV signed an MOU on Defense Cooperation with Gyeongam TP during the exhibition. See the article linked below for more information.
