Presenting the Partners for International Business: Robin Radar
The use of radar is critical to keeping our airspace safe and secure. However, birds often don’t show up properly and the increasing number of drones in the air can often go unnoticed as well. Not to mention that it’s easy to mistake a bird for a drone. This is where Robin Radar comes in, as they are a leader in the field of tracking and classification of small objects. Their equipment is specialized in preventing collisions between birds and planes or windfarms and protecting critical infrastructure against drones through early detection.
Robin Radar’s CEO, Mr. Siete Hamminga, told us that the Partners in Business initiative (PIB) presented the company with a great opportunity. He learned that the Hellenic air force had expressed an interest in purchasing products to avoid aerial collisions with birds. Robin Radar joined the PIB on the Dutch side while their partner joined on the Greek side, as being part of the PIB made for a great way to reach out to the Hellenic air force together.
