The Netherlands commits another €122 million to munition, material, and cyber security for Ukraine - Januari 30, 2024

The Netherlands is contributing €87 million to buy artillery shells for Ukraine. It is also pouring €25 million into the International Fund for Ukraine (IFU) to buy equipment. Furthermore, the government is putting another €10 million into improving Ukraine's cyber defence. Minister Kajsa Ollongren reported this to the House of Representatives today. Read more

Ministry of Defence aims to accelerate ammunition procurement - Januari 25, 2024

Defence is preparing to accelerate the procurement of more ammunition. This involves both small-calibre and high-tech ammunition for air defence, for example. This will increase the ammunition supply. The ministers write this in a letter to the House of Representatives. Read more

The Netherlands will receive €51 million grant for military mobility - Januari 24, 2024

The Netherlands will receive a €51 million EU grant to improve military transport by rail. Project proposals from ProRail and Verbrugge Zeeland Terminals were accepted. The modifications will increase overall capacity on the railways. This will also benefit civilian rail traffic. Read more

Ministry of Defence and Maritime sector will strive to better utilize the industry's strengths - Januari 24, 2024

Defence is investing heavily in Royal Navy equipment over the next 15 years. This coincides with the Maritime Manufacturing Sector Agenda. From now on, Defence will no longer just look at what needs to be done per project, but what is needed to strengthen the sector as a whole.
